I recently wanted to vote down a comment, but mistakenly hit the plus button. I tried clicking the minus button, but that did not undo my action. Seems like there should be a way to undo a vote comment, at least within a limited timeframe. Now, I basically ended up doing the opposite of what I wanted to do.

I agree with you Anders, the chances og getting is wrong clicked increases more as the + & – symbol are places vertically in the same line & that too close.
We can go for another approach
A confirmation message that says something like this
“you are rating a + on YXZ. Do you strongly feel appropriate”
This approach is a good one in some cases.
