Scott Germaise has enjoyed fun and profit and loss in the online industry since the medieval pre-web days. Scott designed or managed some of the first graphically based online products at Prodigy Services Company. And later, led Prodigy’s first forays into Internet products. Following a brief interlude with a failed search start-up, he joined the founding team of About.com, designing, managing and building out products, and product management teams as VP, Information Architecture.
Along with several colleagues, Scott has several patents in data mining and collaborative production technologies. In his spare time, he's into a variety of adventure sports and does part time volunteer rescue work.
These days, after a couple of years on his own as a consultant, he’s working on another as yet under the covers start-up.
