In addition to holding a BFA in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Industrial Design, Trevor van Gorp has been working in print and web design for over 12 years.

He spent several years researching design, psychology and emotion for his master’s thesis in Industrial Design, focusing on product interfaces.

Formerly a consultant at nForm User Experience, a leading Canadian UX firm, Trevor now performs user research, information architecture and interaction design as the principal of Affective Design, an independent user experience consultancy.

He also blogs about the intersection of emotion, design and psychology at affectivedesign.org, and has presented on the subject of design and emotion both in North America and internationally.
