Trevor van Gorp has spent the last eight years understanding how design affects emotion and how emotion affects our perception of design. In addition to holding a BFA in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Industrial Design, he has been working in print and web design for over 14 years.

Trevor spent several years researching design, psychology and emotion for his master’s thesis in Industrial Design, focusing on product interfaces. Formerly the first employee of nForm User Experience, a leading Canadian UX firm, Trevor now performs user research, information architecture and interaction design as the principal of Affective Design, an independent user experience consultancy at: http://affectivedesign.com
