Seth Gordon is the Director of User Experience at Saltmine. He manages the group responsible for UX Strategy, Information Architecture, and Consumer Research. Prior to joining Saltmine, he led key research initiatives for Microsoft Xbox and Zune. While living in California, Mr. Gordon served as Director of Consumer Research at Edmunds.com. Prior, he was a Sr. User Researcher for Yahoo!, working on Autos, Search, and Yahoo Music (Launch).
Before coming over to the consumer side, Mr. Gordon has held Director/ Practice Lead positions with influential interactive agencies, starting with USWeb back in 1996. He has 13 years of industry experience, evenly divided between agency and in-house. He has particular expertise in consumer retail e-commerce, content search and retrieval, online publishing, and corporate dashboards.
A popular speaker and author, Seth has presented to audiences at CNet, Harvard, ASIS&T, and numerous other conferences. He has written for CNet, Business 2.0, ZDNet, and Boxes and Arrows. He has served as the E-Commerce Category chair for the Webby Awards since 2000.
Mr. Gordon earned an MS in Information Systems, and a BS in Marketing, both from American University in Washington, DC.
