I completed by BA in Mathematics at UC Berkeley in 1998. From there, I began working as an artist and designer—playing both roles at alternative art spaces in San Francisco, and then later, in New York. Most of my artistic work involves multi-media installations and performance. As a freelance designer, I have built websites with content management systems, PHP scripts, MySQL databases, and Flash interfaces. While I was in New York, I joined R/GA Interactive and worked as one of 10 to 15 interaction designers on projects for IBM, Ericsson, Sony, and the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation. I returned to the San Francisco in 2001 and worked for the University of California San Francisco for three years as a web developer, webmaster, and print designer. Looking to get back into agency work, I joined Modem Media in late February 2005 and began working on the redesign of Enbrel.com.
