      <description>&lt;p&gt;This reminds me a lot of a presentation that Larry Marine gave at &lt;span class="caps"&gt;UPA 2006&lt;/span&gt; called &amp;#8220;Driving Product Design from the Business Objectives.&amp;#8221;  He referred to it as a Prioritization Matrix and I don&amp;#8217;t remember him assigning any weighted values to the initial ratings. I think that adds an interesting and valuable dimension to the overall approach, but I agree with Terry that a 3x multiplier might be a bit too extreme.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;Regardless, I think the best use for this type of approach is in establishing a common understanding upon which the team can have more objective, and hopefully more reasonable, discussions between the interested parties.  Any tool that might help avoid some of the &amp;#8220;he said/she said&amp;#8221; arguments that can occur when individual teams are working under different constraints is worth using in some capacity.  Might be really useful for projects where the business, design, and development teams don&amp;#8217;t share a common timezone&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;
