      <description>&lt;p&gt;I believe these ideas definately have merrit and I especially like your addressing of what I call the &amp;#8220;Neilsen&amp;#8221; effect on the field of information architecture. My professor in User Behavior at grad school introduced me to research on &amp;#8220;sense-making&amp;#8221; &lt;a href="http://communication.sbs.ohio-state.edu/sense-making/" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://communication.sbs.ohio-state.edu/sense-making/&lt;/a&gt; &amp;#8211; you might be interested in this because it  addresses and looks at how we communicate in and outside the virtual realm.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="caps"&gt;FINALLY I&lt;/span&gt; found an article that puts the whole fold thing into perspective. My two biggest pet peeves are clients who only talk about the fold and how many &amp;#8220;clicks&amp;#8221; are involved in an interaction design.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p&gt;There has been in my experience, with a wide variety of clients, way too much time spent in meetings talking about what&amp;#8217;s above the fold or how many clicks there are. I think you&amp;#8217;re right that this is a detriment to our users because we end up spending less time actually talking about how to solve an interaction problem, which involves a whole host of factors least of which is what content should go above the fold.&lt;/p&gt;
