      <description>&lt;p&gt;Great article!  I&amp;#8217;ve read competing theories on hiring as well as witnessed a number of smart (and not) hiring decisions.  I believe we tend to over-estimate the value of our hiring intuition and often hire people based on our like of them rather than a solid understanding of their skill set.  I would be curious to hear about the experience of others and how they have balanced their intuition with a guided interview process while making hiring decisions.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
