      <description>&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the article. I&#8217;ll have to re-read it several times to transfer an appreciable amount of it to long-term memory, but that&#8217;s what makes it good in my opinion.&lt;br /&gt;I&#8217;m interested in the effects of primacy and recency that you mention near the end. Are you aware of any studies on these effects in the online environment? Your article reminds me of studying something similar to these effects in relation to childhood memory retention (an untold number of years ago in college). Now I&#8217;m wondering how this might be applied to online learning.&lt;br /&gt;As David pointed out, this is exactly the sort of thing we should be applying.&lt;/p&gt;
