I agree! And I’ve heard of some recent research supporting the underlying idea about talent. (See NYT article, A Star is Made, by Stephen J. Dubner and Steven D. Levitt.)

I’d think the advice would relevant to senior designers, too. If talent isn’t an inborn gift, it probably takes work to maintain it.

Great question, Eric. The reason I draw several boxes for the mouseout behavior is, uh… well, it just never dawned on me to draw one. You’re right—it’s a much better technique! I’m having a bit of a forehead-slapping moment myself. Thanks!

I really just want to *read* it. I was thinking I’d write it I had to, but it’d be great to have someone else do the actual work. Is it a topic you’d be interested in taking on?
