Article Idea:
Wireframes with a "feel"
suggested by Bo Lora on 2007/05/02
Why do I feel compelled write yet another story on wireframes. I think for the most part, people think of wireframes as very static and simplistic renditions of pages to be developed. Wireframes are heralded as the cheap easy way to get buying because it is divorced from “look and feel” and it’s void of “distractions”. I like to propose in the case of highly interactive web applications, “wireframes” have gotten away from the origin of the term.
In the 3D world, a “wireframe” is a moving piece that is the foundation of production code. It does not have the “look” but it certainly has “feel”. I would like to write an article proposing that in highly interactive design, you need a wireframe that allows you to “feel” the application flow, not just look at it.

Are you proposing a general article on wireframes or a detailed article with examples. Your proposal sounds like the former (it sounds like a pitch for interactive wireframes), but I (personally) would be more interested in the latter.

I was actually thinking of having with examples… The article itself should have a “feel” too! ;-)

I think that stories about wire framing have been overdone. There are a few already right here on Boxes and Arrows.
