Recview is an idea that came out of a requirement to provide a software platform to deliver and manage “dailies”. Daillies are a critical process in film and animation development. These meetings are where the director makes comment on the previous days work setting the next day(s) work agenda.
This paper describes a solution which it is believed to be applicable across a wide range of workflow processes.
The solution features:
- strategies to automate capture of review content
- a recview workspace scaling to support a variety of content types both temporal and non temporal – speech to text indexing
- strategies to automate recviewlet distribution
- strategies to enable the amount of content to scale
- strategies to enable the number of reviewers to scale
- strategies for integration with a range of SCM (supply chain management) application types
