Boxes And Arrows : The Design Behind the Design

I believe social media might make information a commodity (if this hasn’t happened already). Social media can lead to companies selling rights to information, such as competitive intelligence, through membership or even “renting” the use of information for a period of time. This can be a boon to information architectures because companies will have to organize their information effectively so that users can find it easily and provide a positive user experience, though effective design, for the audience.

well, this is already happening now a days, for anything people want to read about or want an opinion or even advice about, they go to a social networking site and post the question and the number of answers will shock you, one such example is yahoo asnwers where people are openly discussing their sex and married lives with complete strangers, well, this is social networking, taking relationships to new levels

while on one hand, it has brought poeple closer, on other hand, it has limited them to just their pc’s and isolated them from families and meeting people, every one is on twitter too.. cant help it really
