Transitioning from Website to Application GUI Design

For the last six months, I’ve been thinking about putting together a story that would share my experiences and growth on the creation of GUIs for applications. It would be my intent to focus on the important differences in creating a versitile application design and how it differs from a site interface. Do you think readers of Boxes and Arrows would be interested in a story about this?

This is one that is always of relevance I think, but may be good to first check out Bob Baxley’s b&a article on this topic, as well as his book “Making the Web Work: Designing Effective Web Applications”. Perhaps see how/where you can bring additional unique insights per your own personal experiences in this area.
