Article Idea:
Protoshare
suggested by Blake Johnson on 2008/08/15
ProtoShare is a collaborative web development tool that enables companies and interactive shops to easily build dynamic and navigable website prototypes that team members can review and comment on in real-time. Once the ProtoShare process of prototyping and collaboration is finished, the website development team will have a clear and concise roadmap to follow, thereby reducing rework, misunderstanding, and missed deadlines in the development process. It is available online as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Serivce) tool with access available from any Internet connection.

I’ve heard about this tool from a few people, and although I haven’t tried it myself, it sounds like it puts together some useful features in one (hopefully) usable package for the lifecycle of wireframing and simple, wireframe-based prototyping. I’d be interested in an article on this that is more than just the product website—one that examines the pros and cons of the tool relative to other leading alternatives, and that does so in the context of one or more case studies.
