Article Idea:
Comments on the B&A site

Apologies if I’ve mis-used this board, but I’ve hunted around for some other way of making this comment.
The five star ratings used across this site are a combination of red and green, which is completely useless for people like me who are red-green blind. Most people who are colour blind are red-green blind, and it is, as far as I’m concerned, a basic accessibility requirement not to use these two colours together in such a way.
And while I’m here, I find the stuff at the top of the right-hand column very obscure. If ‘how to’ is a subset of ‘categories’ then how come it’s in bigger and bolder type? And in order to understand those things, you have to do some hunting.

Hi Nick -
Thanks so much for your comments.
bq. _The five star ratings used across this site are a combination of red and green, which is completely useless for people like me who are red-green blind._
This is great feedback, and something we will certainly take into consideration when we launch the new design in the upcoming weeks. So sorry for the temporary oversight as we transition to a new design!

Yes. We’re working on a more useful display of data in the right column. The goal is to show people active people, active content, heated discussions (perhaps like this one!) at a glance. But we know that the current version is not ideal.
