Article Idea:
Usability Challenge 2008
suggested by Darren Menachemson on 2008/06/14
G’day, wonderful people at BoxesandArrows
On 1 August 2008, we are asking anyone with a passion for usability to solve a usability problem…any usability problem at all…and help make the world a better/safer/less annoying place.
We’ve called it Usability Challenge 2008 – and we would be absolutely over the moon if Boxes and Arrows thought that it was an idea worth talking about.
Note that this is a 100% non-profit idea – the only people who benefit from this are the people who wind up with an improved user experience of some sort.
Thanks for any help you can give,
Darren Menachemson

Sounds like a great idea! Does this have to be a digital product, though? Or can we submit suggestions for all kind of products a la ‘the design of everyday things’?

Thanks, Chris :)
To answer your question, all kind of products or services can be included – it’s not limited to the digital world. Interestingly, most of the Usability Challenge 2008 posts I’ve seen have been about improving the usability of physical things – from train doors to can openers. Personally, I can’t wait to see what they come up with in this space!
