Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Viral Marketing

The notion is that you can “test” your Viral Marketing concepts against Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs—or at least the first 4; only 2% of the population are self-actualizers.
The article will cite examples of Viral Marketing and how it maps to the Hierarchy of Needs, hopefully providing a framework for helping (you) understand how to strive to be more viral (rather than just emailing all of your friends and begging them to send to all of theirs).
