Article Idea:
When Good Designers Create Bad Designs
suggested by Maureen Kelly on 2007/11/28
Creating a well-designed product always seems to be so much harder than just having good design skills. I’d love to see an article that explored: * What types of companies succeed at creating well-designed products, and what sets them apart from the companies that don’t. * The skills and traits a designer needs to see a good design through in the real world (e.g., Negotiation skills? Stubbornness? How much does he need to understand the product’s underlying technology?)

Maureen,
Are you looking to write this article or looking for someone to write it with you?

Ben,
I really just want to *read* it. I was thinking I’d write it I had to, but it’d be great to have someone else do the actual work. Is it a topic you’d be interested in taking on?
